A estas alturas a nadie se le escapará que Beastie Boys regresan por todo lo alto este 2011. Si la semana pasada pudimos ver un anticipo de lo que será su mediometraje de 22 minutos Fight For Your Right Revisited, estrenado recientemente en Sundance, hoy le llega el turno a su nuevo videoclip, que sirve de trailer extendido de dicho film. Make Some Noise es su nueva canción, primer single de su nuevo disco.

Con más de 40 millones de discos vendidos en todo el mundo y 25 años de carrera musical creo oportuno obviar cualquier retrospección sobre Beastie Boys. Este Make Some Noise es el single presentación de Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, octavo disco del trío neoyorquino que tenía previsto su salida al mercado en 2009 bajo el subtítulo de Part One, pero que se tuvo que posponer por el cáncer diagnosticado a Adam Yauch. Problemas de salud superados, el disco tiene prevista su salida al mercado este próximo 3 de mayo.

Como si de una continuación de su mítico Fight For Your Right del 87 se tratase, el videoclip de Make Some Noise nos muestra a una versión más joven y algo surrealista de Mike D, MCA y Ad-Rock encarnados por Elijah Wood, Danny McBride y Seth Rogen. Como ya vimos en el tráiler, si algo destaca el film es por la infinita sucesión de cameos conocidos que tiene. Buena muestra es este videoclip en el que vemos la participación de, atención que va, Orlando Bloom, Steve Buscemi, Ted Danson, Kirsten Dunst, Will Ferrell, Jason Schwartzman o Chloe Sevigny, entre muchos otros. No me enrollo más, a continuación el regreso de una de las grandes bandas hip hop de la historia.
